Regional Read 2007 09/01/2007 - 10/31/2007 "The World is Flat"

The Sherrill Kenwood Library will be participating in Mid-York's Regional Read program during the months of September and October. The Mid-York Library System will be leading a coalition of public libraries, colleges, businesses and community groups working together toward common goals. These goals are to promote literacy and the love of reading and to showcase the role of libraries in our communities.

Residents of Herkimer, Madison and Oneida counties will read Thomas Friedman's "The World is Flat". What Friedman means by "flat" is that the world is "connected". Through the technological advances it is now possible to do business or almost anything else instantaneously with people all over the planet. www.thomaslfriedman.com.
